Meet a local person to find out more about Margate, Broadstairs & Ramsgate

Inspired by the Big Apple Greeters of New York who were formed in 1992, Kent County Council and Thanet District Council have led the creation of the Thanet Greeter programme enables visitors to meet with local people from Thanet who are friendly and enthusiastic about the area in wihch they live. They can enrich their experience and enjoyment of Margate, Ramsgate, Broadstairs and surrounding villages.

Thanet Greeters is a non-profit making organisation enabling visitors to the Isle of Thanet to meet with local residents who are both friendly and enthusiastic and who are happy to share the area they love.

Providing a rewarding experience for the individual, groups of friends or families, Greeters help everyone to feel welcome and achieve more from their stay in Thanet. www.thanet-greeters.org.uk
