The Economic Impact of Tourism in Kent Knowing the volume and value of Tourism to the Kent and Medway Economy is essential for developing relevant tourism management policies within local areas. Kent Tourism as part of the Interreg III funded research programme commissioned Tourism South East in 2005 to define more clearly the visitor expenditure and economic impact of tourism in Kent and Medway. This was done using the Cambridge Economic Impact Model. The reports are based on retrospective 2003 data are below under the heading Cambridge Model 2003. Cambridge Model 2003 This important exercise has been repeated in 2007, based on retrospective 2006 data, and these results are below under the heading of Cambridge Model 2006.
